Dr. Mel Lindauer, a native of Eastern Washington, attended Washington State University and was awarded his Doctorate of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry. In 1993, Dr. Lindauer and his wife, Carolyn, opened his eye care practice in Spokane, which has grown from a small family-run office into Optic One Eye Care Centers, a leading provider of full-scope eye care and retail eyewear products in Spokane. Dr. Lindauer is active in his community. He has served as a Board Member and President of the Lions Low Vision Clinic, and he has participated on Optometric Physicians Eye Care Benefit Committee and on Brentwood Elementary School's Council of Learning Improvement. He maintains professional affiliations with the American Optometric Association as well as Optometric Physicians of Washington. In his free time Dr Lindauer enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his two sons.
